Hi, I’m Lia

I've always loved hearing people's stories.

For over 20 years, I've helped people connect through storytelling, meaningful experiences and moments that bring people together. Becoming a celebrant felt like a natural extension of that.

My journey into celebrancy began while helping to plan my Dad's funeral. As a Black Jamaican family, we wanted a ceremony that honoured tradition while reflecting his personality, music and story. When we met our celebrant, everything changed. We felt understood, supported and genuinely cared for. It was the first time I thought, I could do this too.

The more I learned about celebrancy, the more it felt like a natural fit.

I love getting to know people, hearing their stories and creating ceremonies that feel personal, meaningful and completely authentic. My favourite ceremonies aren't built from a template. They're shaped around the people at the centre of them.

Whether you're planning a wedding, vow renewal or naming ceremony, my role is simple: to help create a ceremony that feels like you.

What’s it like working with Lia?

People First

Every ceremony starts with getting to know you. I love hearing people's stories, understanding what matters most to them, and creating a ceremony that reflects who they really are.

No Cookie-Cutter Ceremonies

There are no templates here. Whether you want to honour traditions, create new ones, or do something completely different, we'll design a ceremony that feels authentic to you.

Warm, calm guidance

Planning a ceremony can feel overwhelming. I'll guide you through the process, ask the right questions and help you feel confident every step of the way.

Everyone is welcome here.

I believe every couple and family deserves a ceremony where they feel seen, celebrated and valued. I proudly work with people of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, identities and family structures.
