Hi, I’m Lia
I've always loved hearing people's stories.
For over 20 years, I've worked in communications, helping people connect through storytelling, shared experiences and moments that bring people together. Becoming a celebrant felt like a natural next step.
My journey into celebrancy began while helping to plan my Dad's funeral. As a Black Jamaican family, we wanted a ceremony that honoured tradition while also reflecting his personality, his music and his story.
When we met our celebrant, everything changed. We felt understood, supported and genuinely cared for. It was the first time I thought, I could do this too.
That experience stayed with me, and eventually led me to train as a celebrant myself.
I love getting to know couples and families, hearing what matters to them and working out how to bring it all together. The best ceremonies, for me, are the ones that couldn't have been written for anybody else.
Whether that's bringing different cultures together, including a family tradition, doing something completely unexpected or simply telling your story properly, we'll create something that feels like yours.
