A Few Things You Might Be Wondering
Every wedding is different, but these are some of the
questions couples ask me most often.
-
Think of me as the person who helps turn your story into a ceremony that actually feels like you. There’s no picking from a standard script or being told “this is the bit where you have to say X.” We can include the people, traditions, music, stories and moments that matter to you — and create something personal, meaningful and full of personality.
-
In England and Wales, the celebrant part isn’t currently legally binding — so you’ll still need to do the legal paperwork separately at a register office.
But here’s the lovely bit: that means your celebrant ceremony can be completely about you. Your legal appointment can be short and simple, and then we create the ceremony you actually want to share with your people — your vows, your story, your traditions and all the moments that make it feel like your wedding.
-
As involved as you want! You might already have a whole Pinterest board, a playlist and seventeen ideas — or you might come to me and say, “Lia, we have absolutely no idea where to start.”
Both are completely fine.
I’ll guide you through the process, help you work out what feels right (and what definitely doesn’t), and then bring it all together into a ceremony that feels like you. You’ll always have the opportunity to share ideas, give feedback and shape what we create together.
-
Absolutely — and this is one of my favourite things about celebrant ceremonies.
If there’s a tradition that matters to you, your family or your culture, we can include it. If there’s one you’ve inherited that doesn’t feel like you, you don’t have to. And if you want to take something traditional and give it your own twist, we can do that too.
Whether you’re bringing together different cultures, honouring people you love, including family and friends or even creating a brand-new tradition of your own, we’ll find a way to make it feel natural and meaningful — never like something has been added just for the sake of it.
-
Yes. Writing vows can feel exciting, emotional and sometimes a little daunting. I'm happy to provide guidance, prompts and examples to help you find the right words.
-
I'm based in South East London and travel throughout London and beyond. Travel within London is included in my fee. If your ceremony is further afield, I'll provide a clear travel quote before booking.

Absolutely. Alongside weddings, I also create vow renewal and baby naming ceremonies. Each ceremony is tailored to the people at its heart and can be as traditional, modern, joyful or meaningful as you'd like it to be.
Why a celebrant?
More than just the person at the front
By the time your ceremony arrives, I won’t be a stranger with a script. We’ll have spent time getting to know each other, talking about what matters to you and creating a ceremony that feels like yours. I’ll be a familiar face, there to guide you, support you and make sure you can relax and enjoy the moment.
